Indianlife proudly supports the Indo-Africa Charitable Society. If you’re looking for a great way to make a difference by fighting poverty in the rural areas of developing nations, donating to them does a world of good.
One of the most important things the IACS does is to construct wells in poverty-ravaged areas and bring safe drinking water to a population typically ignored by the media. According to Blue Planet Network, roughly one-sixth of the world’s population lacks access to safe drinking water. In developing countries over 2 million people die annually from diseases associated with a lack of safe drinking water and adequate sanitation. Approximately 6,000 children die each day from disease that could be prevented by proper access to safe drinking water, inadequate sanitation and poor hygiene – the equivalent of 20 jumbo jets crashing every day.
And the work of IACS only begins there. IACS also promotes public health by providing medical and dental health care services in these areas. And they help fight poverty and advance education by providing school supplies, and financial assistance to students in rural communities. Medical camps where people can receive medical care, and dental care are also crucial initiatives.
